May 24: A worker of Untied People's Democratic Front (UPDF) was killed
and three others were seriously injured in a brushfire by unknown gunmen
at Baroitali in Laxmichhari upazila today (Monday).
Police and witnesses said the terrorists opened fire on Suiching Marma
(20), and his three associates in the area at about 7 am, leaving
Suiching dead on the spot and the others injured.
The injured were admitted to local hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the UPDF leaders blamed Parbatya Chattagram Jano Sanghati
Samity (PCJSS) for the attack.
They also brought out a procession in protest against the killing.
