OUR CORRESPONDENT, KHAGRACHARI
The first day of 72-hour road blockade programme enforced by the Jumma Refugees Welfare Association (JRWA) passed off peacefully yesterday in the district. No untoward incident was reported during the day.
Members of JRWA, however, continued their picketing on different streets of the district town throughout the day. They even obstructed movement of motor vehicles at Mahajanpara.
Meantime, BNP and its four party allies have condemned recent statements by
Jana Sanghati Samity (JSS) and its leader Santu Larma against Khagrachari MP
Abdul Wadud Bhuyian.
