Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP), an organisation of indigenous students from the hills, has again called for immediate implementation of its five-point demand.
These include introduction of primary education in mother languages of all ethnic communities, inclusion of their real history in text books, and cancellation of the CHT quota in favour of a new quota for ethnic communities.
The PCP leaders reiterated their demand at a press conference at Modhu's Canteen of Dhaka University yesterday.
They said memorandum was submitted to the office of the prime minister and the deputy minister for CHT affairs. But no steps have been taken so far, they added.
They said they would organise rally and demonstration in Dhaka, Chittagong and Khagrachhari on the eve of the national education day tomorrow.
Mithun Chakma read out a statement at the press conference.
Suparyoti Chakma, Elira Dewan, Dipankar Tripura, Auongay Marma and Rupan Chakma
were present on the occasion.
