Hill Students’ Council (HSC), a student organisation of greater Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), yesterday submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office to press their various demands.

The HSC in their memorandum demanded primary education in the mother tongue of the Hill Tracts, to delete "derogatory remarks" against their national identity from the textbooks, introduction of special hill quota in all public services by removing the CHT quota and to include "real political history" of the Hill Tracts in textbooks and also the history of all tribal people of the country, among others.

Earlier, they brought out a procession and held a rally on the Dhaka University campus. The speakers at the rally said if the government fails to meet their demand they would launch a greater movement.

Later, they sent a delegation, led by Mithun Chakma, Zelas Chakma and Diponkor Chakma to the Prime Minister’s Office.
