Schoolteacher abducted in Rangamati

Nov 7: The headmaster of a government primary school was allegedly abducted by activists of the anti-peace accord organisation, the United People's Democratic Front(UPDF), from Kharing Khoing under Naniarchar upazila of the district today.

Police quoting local people said a gang of armed activists of the UPDF numbering around seven attacked the residence of Bimal Chandra Chakma (40), the headmaster of Kharing Khoing Government Primary School, and abducted him.

Earlier, two more tribal youths were also abducted allegedly by pro-peace activists from the same place yesterday.
