Twelve supporters of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) have been abducted
allegedly by the activists of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS)
from five villages under Perachhara Union of Khagrachhari district, said a UPDF
press release yesterday.
The abducted UPDF men are Bimal Kanti Chakma, 40, Kujh Bihari Chakma, 46, Neel Ranjan Chakma, 45, Kalabo Chakma, 38, Tukla Chakma, 35, Kala Chakma, 37, Anitya Lal Kheesa, 48, Gyanendu Chakma, 30, Montu Gul Chakma, 40, Neel Purna Chakma, 50, Shakya Kalpa Chakma, 25, and Bin Dhar Tripura, 27.
Of them, Bin Dhar Tripura was abducted on July 9, while the rest 11 were abducted
yesterday (Saturday) morning.
