Road blockade in Rangamati on Sunday

The Road Transport Workers Federation has called a24-hour road blockade in the district on Sunday.
The federation has giventhe programme to press home their demand to arrestthe people involved in the attack on auto-rickshaw drivers on June 11 and suspensionof the plying of the auto rickshaws, which have no valid licence.
The decision about the programme was taken at a meeting held on Tuesday withpresident of the federation, Azizul Haque, in the chair, said a press release made available toNew Age Thursday.
A group of about 20 to 25tribal criminals, under the banner of Rangamati Jantrik Kalyan Bohumukhi Somobay Samity Limited, attacked the workers of the federation-- Bashu Nag, Abul Kalam and Kamaluddin -- at Rajbari in the town on June 11.
